Cancellable forward
A forward exchange contract that gives one of the counterparties the right to cancel the contract at one or more predetermined dates.
This is in fact a forward exchange contract with one or more embedded options covering the remaining term, which allows the counterparty to free itself of its commitment without further expense beyond the initial premium.
